(Rapup)Chris Brown is making major moves on the big screen. Following his roles inTakers and Think Like a Man, the R&B superstar plays a B-boy in Battle of the Year, which explores the international world of breakdancing.

The 3-D film follows an all-star American dance crew led by a demanding coach (Josh Holloway). Despite being misunderstood by society and even their own families, they don’t give up on their dreams. The team meets up in France and competes in the “Battle of the Year” finals against other nations, all vying for the title of World Champion. A blond Breezy show off his fancy footwork (and abs) in the trailer.

Battle arrives in theaters in January 2013.
