Review: [NO SPOILERS]
Now, when I saw the first trailer for this movie I was both excited but also leery. I’ve grown up a Disney kid, but it always kid of irritated me how often the princesses were, despite being vibrant, sweet and lovely, the poster children for “damsels in distress”. Except two, originally, Pocahontas and Mulan, then the latest, Tiana. However, after seeing the movie I must say it exceeded my expectations. Merida is a very feisty, intelligent, comical, and indeed, brave young woman. She truly captures the magic of the Disney princess while also being the tough Pixar hero. Also, her brothers, if you’ve seen the trailer, are even more hilarious in the movie. All in all, I highly recommend this movie for all of you to see. Excellent work of art. I give it a solid A+ and 5/5.
