Beyonce made an appearance and was laughing all night at most of the comedy, but there was one joke that set her off!

During the presentation for the Best R&B Artist Award, which Bey won, Mindless Behavior made a joke referring to Lauryn Hill’s recent arrest while on stage with Mike Epps.

They said to Mike:

“You sing BAD, like Lauryn Hill’s tax accountant bad.”

This was enough to have Beyonce change her whole acceptance speech in order to pay homage to Lauryn Hill, when she said:

“I want to thank all the talented R&B women that came before me like Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige.”

According to TMZ, when Beyonce walked off stage, she stated to a BET handler how “disrespectful” and “not cool” the diss was.

We’re glad that Beyonce is sticking up for Lauryn and is paying homage to such a talented artist!
